The estate’s olive farm extends over 22 acres in a valley below the Villa’s walls and has 1400 olive trees from which olive oil is produced each winter. An 11 x 5.5 meter illuminated swimming pool is also set amongst the olive trees and the farm’s old buildings have been restored to offer self catering accommodation for up to 34 people, all within a couple of minutes walk from the main villa and chapel. This consists of:
- A restored farmhouse called Santa Maria which has 5 large bedrooms, sleeping 12 people.
- A restored old winery called La Cantina which has 3 double bedrooms and an overflow bedroom for four people. This sleeps a total of 10.
- Three restored Tuscan mews houses which sleep a total of 14.
In addition, Villa Montalbano itself offers a bridal suite.
